The Sandhills Orchid Society, a nonprofit organization,
is located in
Fayetteville, North Carolina. The purpose of the society is to promote the
advancement of knowledge and appreciation of orchids. We welcome all those
who are interested in orchids in particular, but also anyone who
appreciates flowers of all types. Come and see what we have to show you.

Meetings are held monthly at the MacPherson Presbyterian Church, located
at
3525 Cliffdale Road in Fayetteville. Meetings start at 7:00 PM, the
Tuesday after the second Monday of each month. Come about 6:30 to meet
everyone, enjoy the show table and to get the first choice of the sale
plants.

Orchids (Orchidaceae family) are among the largest and
most diverse of the flowering plant (angiospermae) families, with over 800
described genera and 25,000 species, and
another 100,000 plus hybrids and cultivars produced by horticulturalists.
